Culture Walking Tours July 2024 - Exploring the city of Heraklion!
Explorations continue throughout the summer in the city of Heraklion with Exploration Children's Museum! Children and parents walk the narrow streets of the city of Heraklion, explore, play and discover its history and culture. This month we follow the God of Gods on a hidden treasure hunt, while we discover our city's old water system with the power of water !
SPRING WATER | Wednesday 17 & 24 July
Nymphs, tritons, flowers, dolphins, figures, seahorses; a marine kingdom is hidden in the alleys of the city of Heraklion! Are you ready to discover the water stories of Handakas? Come with us to explore the water monuments, listen to myths and legends and reveal all the secrets of architecture!
THE HUNT OF THE 12 GODS | Friday 19 & 26 July
The king of the Gods, the almighty Zeus, travels to the island of Crete! The reason; But ... because all the Gods from Olympus were just… lost! A strong south wind blew on the Mountain Olympus and since then all the thrones have been left empty. Parents and children take part in a hidden treasure hunt in the city of Heraklion. With the help of Zeus, they solve puzzles, explore monuments and discover the 12 Gods of Olympus.
