With families at Museum of Ancient Greek Technology

Exploration Children's Museum celebrates its new collaboration with the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kostas Kotsanas with an educational program for the whole family!

The first children’s museum in Crete, Exploration Children’s Museum starts a dynamic collaboration along with the new Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kostas Kotsanas aiming to raise public awareness of museum education. The two organizations join forces and present the first educational program entitled "Travelling with a Time Machine". 

Driven by imagination and play, this program focuses on technology and its evolution. The program is addressed to parents and caregivers with children from 7 to 12 years of age and It’s specially designed by Exploration Children's Museum for the exhibition "Ancient Greece - The Origins of Technologies" of Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kostas Kotsanas.

How can you travel back to the past? With a time-machine of course!

And where will you find one? At the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology of course!

A time machine travels us back to Ancient Greece ... and we explore the history of technology from then until today. We meet the inventor of google earth while sending our messages with the world's first emoticons. Who is the ancestor of the mobile? How was the first robot at history?

We observe nowadays' gadgets and we handle ancient inventions, discovering all the secrets of ancient Greek technology. Come together and let's meet Filonos's maid, Plato's alarm clock, Aeneas' hydraulic telegraph and many other technological inventions of the ancient Greek world!

The educational program “Travelling with a time machine” will take place at Museum of Ancient Greek Technology "Kostas Kotsanas" on Saturday 28.12.219 and on Sunday 05.01.2020, 12:00 – 14.00 pm.
